For The Love Of Bikes
More and more people are turning to cycling not just as a sport or means of reaching work, but as a part of almost every aspect of life.
Working closely with a select, worldwide group of independent bicycle dealers (IBDs), Encycleopedia is an important resource for learning about and finding things in the cycling world, especially those that are a bit unusual or hard to find.
These IBDs may not have exactly what you are looking for but they are passionate about cycling, and an essential part of the fabric of bike culture. They not only sell you the hardware, you can talk to informed staff: people who actually do the things and live the life – whether it‘s riding in races, carting kids, or moving furniture. The information and advice these people can provide is vital.
This is not an exhaustive who’s who in the bike world. It is our take on what is interesting and innovative in cycling. It is not a catalogue. It is not obsessed with technical lists. We are not just interested in the products themselves, we want to know the stories behind the developments. The people stories.
The next Encycleopedia will be the eighth in an occasional series dating back to 1993. In the meantime, please feel free to dip in and out of the previous seven issues in our on-line archive section.
